Rice
Rice is a traditional grain in Srilanka. it is mostly grown in kurunegala , ampara , anuradapura and polonnaruwa districts. it is rich in carbihydrates, fat, dietary fiber and vitamin B. It is used as the staple food in srilanka . food items that can be prepared using rice are string hoppers, hoppers, pittu, and rotti . it grows best in an environment with a rainfall of about 1900 mm and an annual temperature range of 21 C to 32 C. it is a important grain in the country.
